Pangkor Laut Escapade; Day One

Aaron Ong's birthday bash was last night and Boobies slept over and had a crazy WOD at PushMore yesterday so basically, I AM BEAT. Since exams and school ended, everyday feels like a Saturday. Everyday's also another sad day because it's a day closer to everybody leaving :( Lets stray away from the emo for a while and time for some happy pappy.

SPM ended on Tuesday. We left for Pangkor Laut Resort on Wednesday. It was wonderful. So blissful. So relaxing. I could go on and on and on but I should let some pictures do the talking eh? 8 girls in a car with 3 hours of travel time. Carrie supplied the music of non-stop hip hop and rock. I caught up on my lack of sleep from the night before while the rest contributed to background laughter and gossip.

quote shivs, "are we gonna eat seafood? because i brought my allergy pills." rofl!

blue blue skies

After that, it was a boat ride to the island. The last time I went to Pangkor Laut Resort, it was when I was 7 or 8 years old with the family so it was pretty exciting to revisit it after so many years. Speedboats = hair flying everywhere = I hate the wind.

pink sunnies and strawberry hello panda yummers

orange life jackets are so hot right now

We got to the island and headed to our room. If you're ever thinking of going to PLR, stay in one of the estates, perfect for family holidays/getaways and it's very honeymoonish - it's equivalent to the penthouses at Ritz. We were all crashing in the master bedroom which would be enough for 100 Bangladeshis. A tour of our holiday crib, shall we?

the day bed but it was where carrie and i crashed and chatted all night

the master bed and mattresses all around; so blair waldorf soirée chic.

massage beds, shower waiting room, poo room

the sauna, finding my zen, inner peace and all that shiz you know

So that's our home for 4 days 3 nights of pure bliss. I could've taken better pictures but it's called a holiday for a reason. "Blog" did come across my mind but I needed the chill time. The estate also sports a private pool, own strip of beach, and a place I'd like to call the Taboo area and nom nom nom area. After getting dressed, to the beach! I say.

sea, sun and sandra go really well together

my sister's keeper

Yes, the first night after SPM and we watch My Sister's Keeper - not exactly the ideal celebratory movie. PurpleShivs was SOBBING. If I wasn't sitting next to Carrie, I would've been too. It's a good movie, watch it and be ready with the Kleenex. 8 girls in one house, 8 girls on an island.. Day one in 5 words: car, boat, estate, sea, tears.
