Golden Globe Nominations

Golden Globe nominations are out! ..and I AM SO EXCITED! The list is is below and those who I am certain will win/I would like to win are bolded. Check who made the cut - eek! I am beyond excited!

FILM

BEST FEATURE - DRAMA
"Avatar"
"The Hurt Locker"
"Inglourious Basterds" This one is no surprise. It was such a good movie but I have yet to see Up in the Air which had rather good reviews so for now Inglorious Basterds ftw!
"Precious"
"Up in the Air"

BEST FEATURE - COMEDY
"(500) Days of Summer" This is only because I WANT them to win but in all honestly, I think The Hangover will take home this prize. Watch it if you haven't. 500 Days of Summer was not funny-funny but it was oh so lovely.
"The Hangover"
"It's Complicated"
"Julie & Julia"
"Nine"

ACTOR - DRAMA I refuse to pick because I've watched none below which I must! Such a difficult choice with such renowned actors being nominated.
Jeff Bridges - "Crazy Heart"
George Clooney - "Up in the Air"
Colin Firth - "A Single Man"
Morgan Freeman - "Invictus"
Tobey Maguire - "Brothers"

ACTRESS - DRAMA Again, I refuse to pick. I just bought The Blind Side though. Will tell you about it.
Emily Blunt - "The Young Victoria"
Sandra Bullock - "The Blind Side"
Helen Mirren - "The Last Station"
Carey Mulligan - "An Education"
Gabourey Sidibe - "Precious"

ACTOR - COMEDY OR MUSICAL Joseph Gordon-Levitt is so sexy. His acting? Pretty good but this is difficult too because I loved Robert Downey Jr. from Sherlock Holmes and I haven't caught Matt Damon in The Informant. Aw shucks, it's a tie.
Matt Damon - "The Informant!"
Daniel Day-Lewis - "Nine"
Robert Downey Jr. - "Sherlock Holmes"
Joseph Gordon-Levitt - "500 Days of Summer"
Michael Stuhlbarg - "A Serious Man"

ACTRESS - COMEDY OR MUSICAL
Sandra Bullock - "The Proposal"
Marion Cotillard - "Nine"
Julia Roberts - "Duplicity"
Meryl Streep - "It's Complicated"
Meryl Streep - "Julie & Julia" Meryl Streep has always been such a wonderful actress and one of my favourites. I haven't caught Duplicity but whatever it is, I am pretty sure that she's gonna win it. C'mon! Even the probability is higher :P

DIRECTOR - MOTION PICTURE
Kathryn Bigelow - "The Hurt Locker"
James Cameron - "Avatar"
Clint Eastwood - "Invictus"
Jason Reitman - "Up in the Air"
Quentin Tarantino - "Inglourious Basterds" FTW! OMG It is SO FUNNY. Tarantino, I LOVE YOU! I know a lot of people did not get the humour and even walked out of the cinemas. Trust me on this, watch it again. It's so damn good.

SUPPORTING ACTOR
Matt Damon - "Invictus"
Woody Harrelson - "The Messenger"
Christopher Plummer - "The Last Station"
Stanley Tucci - "The Lovely Bones"
Christoph Waltz - "Inglourious Basterds" While we were watching this movie, we already went gosh, Hans is so good; he should win an award for his role. True enough, he is nominated. Amazing actor. His role was so manipulating and just wow.

SUPPORTING ACTRESS All these nominations are making me want to watch Up in the Air. Dammit, so since I have not caught any of the movies below and I have my doubts about Nine.. I am just not gonna pick.
Penelope Cruz - "Nine"
Vera Farmiga - "Up in the Air"
Anna Kendrick - "Up in the Air"
Mo'Nique - "Precious"
Julianne Moore - "A Single Man"

SCREENPLAY - MOTION PICTURE This is so hard but it's a tie between District 9 which I reviewed and absolutely thought ROCKED!) and Inglourious Basterds - no surprise there eh?
Neill Blomkamp, Terri Tatchell - "District 9"
Mark Boal - "The Hurt Locker"
Nancy Meyers - "It's Complicated"
Jason Reitman, Sheldon Turner - "Up in the Air"
Quentin Tarantino - "Inglourious Basterds"

ANIMATED FEATURE FILM I can't decide between Up and The Princess and the Frog.
"Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs"
"Coraline"
"Fantastic Mr. Fox"
"The Princess and the Frog"
"Up"

TELEVISION

TELEVISION SERIES - DRAMA
"Big Love"
"Dexter"
"House"
"Mad Men"
"True Blood" ftw! It is awesome full stop; some people just look at is and see sex and blood. I reviewed it quite a while ago during season 1. Season 2 is rather scary so I have yet to finish it but still very good nonetheless. C'mon, it's by Alan Ball!

TELEVISION SERIES - COMEDY OR MUSICAL I've always like 30 Rock but there's a huge following for Glee nowadays. Haven't really seen it so I can't say much.
"30 Rock"
"Entourage"
"Glee"
"Modern Family"
"The Office"

PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTOR IN A TELEVISION SERIES - DRAMA
Simon Baker - "The Mentalist"
Michael C. Hall - "Dexter"
Jon Hamm - "Mad Men"
Hugh Laurie - "House" I am only picking him because heck, he really is that good but he has won it before, no? Would he win again?
Bill Paxton - "Big Love"

PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS IN A TELEVISION SERIES - DRAMA
Glenn Close - "Damage"
January Jones - "Mad Men"
Julianna Margulies - "The Good Wife"
Anna Paquin - "True Blood" She's freakin' good. She was Rouge in X-men and here, she's some Southwestern chick who is dating a vampire. Her put-on accent is so natural.
Kyra Sedgwick - "The Closer"

There you go, all I can say is, I cannot wait! For more of the Golden Globe nominations which I left out like the mini series and music scores, click here.
