Talk of The Town

Talk Bits: Exams over finally overrr.. but sadly, it did not end with a bang. Moral paper was the shit because with an hour left on the clock, the teacher comes in and cancels half the questions on our paper to give us new ones. What the hellll..

Anywhere and everywhere you go right now, there'd be two things on people's mind and also, coming out of their mouth.

ONE: Man U vs. Chelsea Champions League Final

I'm a Reds fan so don't hate me. The score was a suspenseful 1-1 which of course led to even more suspenseful penalty shots which led the Reds to victory with the score of 6-5.

It's definitely one of the hot topics of today. Heck, I woke up at 4am to study while boyfriend and his friends were watching footie. Ironic, eh? It was very strange waking up at 4am listening to boyfriend talk about football as if it was 12 in the afternoon. After school, I got in the car to hear my driver tell me all about the match as if I haven't heard it for the 100th time already but hey, I don't hate football and don't love it so I guess I don't mind it. Glory glory Man United!

TWO: Americon Idol Season 7

Moving away from the sports scene to the entertainment field, you should already know that..

DAVID COOK WON!
Booyah.

Wait, you don't know because you haven't watched it but who cares? ..you will be in about an hour anyways. So, yes, it was the battle of David vs. David.

I knew or so I thought Archuleta was going to win but thank God he didn't. He is way too overrated for a seventeen-year-old who looks like he hasn't even hit puberty yet. Yes, he can sing but he gets borrrring and annnnoyinggg.

Ew.

Archuleta, to me, is like a cross of Aaron Carter and Jesse McCartney and Zac Efron, especially Zac. He's the typical pretty boy that all the tweens dig and all the grannies adore. It makes me shudder.

Cook on the other hand really reminds me of Daughtry and I love Daughtry. Some agree and some don't. They have the same rocker style but Cook definitely has a better range. At the beginning, I didn't like Cook that much but as the show went on, you could see him becoming better because eventually the limelight wasn't all on Archuleta anymore.

If you compare Archuleta and Cook, Cook wins hands down in all the other aspects such as looks, who will go further?, who is older and more experience? and so on and so forth. I have to say that it is a deserved win for Cook. I cannot wait for his album to come out. His "I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing" was just breathtaking. Congratulations Cook! :)

His transformation's pretty cool. This was the day he auditioned. Look at that hair with red highlights and is that a goatee?!

Then.

Well, take a look at him now: sooooo much better!

Now.

I wonder whether you have noticed that he is balding and I've realized that Cook always has the same facial expression when it sings. It's funny. It humours me. Not funny? Go away.

That's the face.

He does it again.

And again.

However, looking at Season 7 on a whole, I didn't like it. It bore me. American Idol is boring me except during the auditions but besides that, boring! Hopefully, the next season would be better for me.

The mouths go yap yap yap.
